Can I Have a Trial on My Traffic Ticket?

Yes. An offense is an allegation of breaking the law. You have the right to a hearing or trial where the city must prove the charges against you. You must attend your arraignment and assert your right to a trial.

Is Going to Trial the Only Option?

No. There may be many “right” ways to address a traffic ticket. There are often educational and deferral programs that can keep your record clean and lessen the penalties. Deferrals, negotiated resolutions and working to have the ticket dismissed may also be good solutions. Our lawyers can help you explore all options and determine what’s best.

Note: Some of the special programs have short deadlines to request, so don’t hesitate to contact us right away if you have received a ticket.
